Our Services

At AMHROA, we are dedicated to improving mental health care across Africa by focusing on three key areas: policy reform, advocacy, and raising awareness. Our efforts aim to expand access to quality mental health care for all Africans, regardless of their socioeconomic status or background. Our long-term vision is to bridge the gap between mental and physical health, creating a more integrated approach to healthcare. By closing this divide, we can significantly improve health outcomes throughout the continent—addressing one of the most pressing health and development challenges facing African nations today.

access to care

We advocate for policies that increase access to mental health care, including telehealth services, community-based care, and integrated care models. Our goal is to ensure broader accessibility for all.

workforce shortage

We support policies that develop the mental health workforce, addressing the shortage of professionals such as psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers and ensuring an adequate supply of professionals in Africa.

Promoting parity

We advocate for policies that ensure mental health care is covered equally with physical health care. This includes the strict enforcement of existing parity laws for comprehensive and fair coverage.

Improved Research

We promote policies that support the creation and implementation of mental health research programs. These programs gather cultural and social data to improve mental health outcomes in the African community.

We are here to serve
Advocating Access, Equality, & Change in Mental Health
We advocate for access, equality, and change in mental health reform by breaking down barriers to care and ensuring that everyone, regardless of background or socioeconomic status, has equitable access to mental health services. Our services aim to bridge gaps in care delivery, utilizing technology to make support more accessible and advocating for policy changes that address systemic inequalities and reduce stigma.

Through these efforts, we empower communities and foster inclusive environments where mental health needs are recognized, validated, and effectively met.
